What a day! The eighth anniversary of 911. Who could forget? What is equally important is that the government has publicly apologized to the family of Alan Turing for his shabby (diabolical) treatment after the second world-war and that there is now a lobby making waves to get Alan permanently recognized by dedicating a statue to him on the fourth plinth, at Trafalgar Square. Alan Turing by the way is the hero of The Eureka! Enigma, and indeed the book is dedicated to him.
