I find that too many entrepreneurs, businessmen (and businesswomen of course!) and salesmen have countless meetings that all too often lead to nothing, let alone a next meeting or a closing. The key to success is to have a specific sales objective in mind and then religiously follow up and follow through. It is trite but true, but the majority of sales don’t happen until after the fifth phone call. You know what you’ve got to do. Smile and dial – right!
